Humanitarian Humanitarian Programs Hamra Bella Hamra Bella serves as the core of our ongoing humanitarian services. Twice a week, Hamra Bella opens its doors to registered beneficiaries, offering a variety of services to support individuals and families in need. Our services include providing food parcels, clothing, shoes, books, toys, and home ware items. In 2020, we initiated the Give and Receive program, which promotes a spirit of exchange. We encourage beneficiaries to donate household recyclable items in exchange for access to our services. This triple-purposed initiative not only provides basic necessities but also raises awareness about recycling and reduces waste in our community. When activated, the alarm, which is around 125 decibels, can frighten off attackers and alert those nearby in case of emergency, providing wearers with a few seconds to escape. The button can easily be worn on a bra strap or attached to a key chain to be accessible at all times. Read More 7.8 Relief Campaign In response to the 7.8 earthquake in North Syria, Ahla Fawda and a consortium of partners decided to work hand in hand with Caritas Syria to provide emergency support to the victims of the earthquake in North Syria. In Syria, 3.7 million children face a deepening crisis, with the earthquake exacerbating the effects of the ongoing war. Millions have been displaced from their homes, with over 10 million in need of urgent aid. To respond to the extreme humanitarian crisis, Ahla Fawda organized two trips to deliver donations (food, shoes, winter clothes, mattresses, sheets, toys, etc.) to the victims. We facilitate “from People to People” donations. That means we do calls for clothing, shoes, food and educational items and give them directly to people that are in need of those resources in Lebanon.
