The ongoing conflict in Lebanon has displaced over 1.2 million people, leaving many in desperate need of shelter, food, and basic supplies. Families are living in overcrowded schools, cars, abandoned buildings, and makeshift tents. At Ahla Fawda, we are committed to providing immediate relief to those most affected. Through the EcoHub, we distributed vital resources to families in both registered and unregistered shelters.
Our mission is not just about meeting basic needs; it’s about preserving human dignity and offering hope in the face of overwhelming hardship. Our efforts are a lifeline, ensuring that even in the most difficult circumstances, families can access critical resources. It is through this unwavering commitment that we bring hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging to those facing unimaginable challenges.
Part 1: Essential Distributions at the EcoHub
The EcoHub serves as a vital community center, distributing life-saving supplies to families sheltering in unregistered locations such as cars, abandoned buildings, and parking lots. These include:
Food and Hygiene Items: +40,640 distributed.
Clothing and Footwear: +38,260 pieces provided.
Bedding Materials: +580 blankets and mattresses delivered.
Part 2: Community Kitchens in School Shelters
In a significant step forward, we have transitioned from delivering meals to operating community kitchens in schools hosting displaced families. These kitchens empower families to prepare their own meals, providing fresh, timely food while reducing food waste and excessive plastic packaging.
